Funding and Sponsor Relations
Identifies and negotiates any contract or written agreement with individuals, non-profits, businesses, governmental organizations, foundations, and other public or non public entities who may become major sponsors of the Showcase; arranges for fund raising events as may be appropriate. Identify and contact prospective sponsors for funding support and invite their participation in accordance with adopted policy; create and recommend to the executive committee funding goals and the tools for implementation.

Patron Relations
Provides direct greeting and information services for guests and participants throughout the Showcase day.
Operate welcome/registration/information desk working in shifts; prepare/ distribute name tags or other identification materials provided for volunteer staff, program participants and exhibitors; conduct evaluation surveys, record attendance. Meet with community groups related to literary interests (book clubs, civic/cultural, senior/retirement, writers, teacher/student, churches, homeowner associations, etc.) to present the mission and other details of the Showcase event and to encourage attendance and any appropriate/needed volunteer participation.

Program
Recruits presenting and exhibiting authors and arranges for their creature comforts during the event; develops the author speaking schedule and provides for book sales at the Showcase.
Provide hosting services to program presenters by maintaining communication with assigned authors to help assure their needs are met regarding event orientation, presentation instructions, program information and personal assistance (site information, transportation, food and lodging availability. etc.); attend to any problems arising in connection with book sales at the purchase station; determine space and equipment requirements for the needs of each presentation; coordinate space needs with site arrangements committee; prepare and deliver or arrange presentation introductions in coordination with assigned author(s); set up and coordinate author display table program and offer appropriate/needed assistance to such authors; review and suggest revisions/improvements in the program schedule; coordinate the program segment devoted to showcasing student talent; host authors of other presentations devoted to the interests of children.

Promotion/Publicity
Prepares, produces, distributes and maintains all advertising, news releases and promotional materials for the Showcase; provides for maintenance of the Showcase website; and produces programs and program booklets for all Showcase events.
Establish contacts with media outlets, determine advertising promotion priorities, prepare and distribute publicity materials (press releases, information kits, mailings, posters, etc.)

Site Arrangements/Coordination
Assumes overall responsibility for the Showcase venue in cooperation with representatives of the host organization, vendors, the Showcase Program Committee and other entities.

Volunteer Recruiting/ Coordination
Oversees the recruitment and assignment of volunteer workers. Based on the expressed skill-need requests from the various committees and the skill sets offered by volunteers, recommends their committee assignments.
